Structure and type

Mini cylinders are usually composed of cylinder body, cylinder head, cylinder piston and seal. According to the working mode, mini cylinders can be divided into two types: single-acting and double-acting:

Single-acting cylinder: There is only one working chamber, which pushes the piston to move when the air source is introduced, and the piston is recovered by the spring and other force mechanisms after the air source is closed.

Double-acting cylinder: There are two working chambers, and the forward and backward movement of the piston is controlled by switching the intake and exhaust.

In addition, there are many types of mini cylinders, such as guided type, lightweight type, micro, disc cylinder and diaphragm cylinder, which are suitable for different special working environments and requirements.

Features and Applications

Features of mini cylinders include:

‌Lubrication-free‌: Oil-containing powdered copper is used as the axial bearing, and the piston rod does not need to be lubricated.

‌Durability‌: The cylinder body and the front and rear covers are hard-anodized and corrosion-resistant.

‌High temperature resistance‌: High temperature sealing materials are used, and it can work normally at 150 degrees Celsius.

‌Diversity of installation types‌: Suitable for various installation needs.

‌Magnetic‌: There is a permanent magnet on the cylinder piston, which can trigger the induction switch to sense the movement position of the cylinder.

Mini cylinders are often used in high-frequency scenarios. Because of their slender structure and small size, they are also called micro cylinders or pen-shaped cylinders. They usually use a threaded installation method, which can significantly save installation space, and are often used in conjunction with magnetic switches. The connection between the piston rod inside the cylinder and the motion mechanism is achieved through a floating joint to prevent jamming during operation.
